TYPOGRAPHY

LETTER STUDY This was a study of a graphic lowercase letter “f” forming into a lowercase letter “t” by showing the process as flipped horizontally and vertically at 180 degrees. The construction and application of typography acted as an element of communicative design. Mixed media forms of art were applied to this visual composition. Graphical stencils were first drawn to outline the lettering, graphite markers were overlay the oulined lettering, and black water-base paint was used to fill in the interiors of each letter. The adaptation of typography was explored through different forms of art. The ability for hand-rendering type was basically to be explored with and without means to a graphical computer program.
